Pure water and painted sashes
Around Hampton Court Green almost every window is a painted timber sash, and the same is true on many older houses in Hampton Village and along the High Street in Hampton Hill. We use a water-fed pole with purified water, which lifts dirt and dries without leaving smears or residue, so there's no detergent sitting on the paint or glazing bars.
Because we're working from the ground, there are no ladders resting on sills or against the glass. On tall three-storey frontages the pole reaches the top floor comfortably. It also means we can clean windows over basements, bay roofs and front lightwells without anyone standing where they shouldn't.
Pure water leaves nothing behind on the glass to attract dirt, so windows stay clearer for longer between visits than they would with soap and a squeegee. That's especially noticeable on the river side of the village, where damp mornings quickly show up any residue.

Pollen, sap and river mist
Homes near Bushy Park and on tree-lined roads get a coating of pollen in spring and sticky sap in summer. Down by the Thames, damp air leaves a film on the glass that catches dust. A regular clean keeps it from building up, and we clean the frames and sills each time so the windows don't look dirty again the moment they're dry.
Houses on busier routes such as the A308 along Hampton Court Road, and the High Streets in Hampton Hill and Hampton Wick, also pick up traffic grime that dulls the glass faster than on quiet side roads. Those front elevations usually benefit from a more frequent clean than the back of the house.

Bays, dormers and every window style in between
Walk from the river up to Fulwell and you'll pass a huge range of windows: small-paned Georgian sashes, Victorian and Edwardian bays, 1930s bays on the interwar streets and modern double glazing on the newer estates. Where you have leaded or stained panels, or old glass, we take it slowly with a soft brush.
Dormer windows set into slate roofs and small attic windows behind parapets are often the ones nobody has cleaned in years. The water-fed pole reaches most of them from the garden or pavement, and where it can't, we'll explain the options.

Conservatories, lanterns and inside panes
Lots of Hampton homes have a conservatory or roof lantern on the back, often under trees, and those roofs go green quickly. We clean conservatory roofs and lanterns with the same pure water system, and we can clean internal windows on request.
Window cleaning works well as the last step after a roof, gutter or stonework clean, so the whole house looks finished in one go.
We're happy to do a one-off clean, for example before you sell or after building work, or to come back regularly. As we're only ten minutes away in Molesey, fitting Hampton, Hampton Hill and Hampton Wick into the diary is straightforward, and we'll agree a frequency that suits how quickly your windows tend to get dirty.

Window Cleaning Hampton FAQs
Answers to common questions about our exterior cleaning services. Can't see yours? Give us a call — we're always happy to help.

Is pure water cleaning safe for old timber sashes?
Yes. It's just purified water with no detergent, applied with a soft brush, so it's kind to paintwork and old glass.
Do you clean the inside of the windows?
We can, on request. Let us know when you book so we can allow the time.
Can you clean my conservatory roof?
Yes, along with roof lanterns. They often need it more than the windows, especially under trees.
Will you reach the top floor of a three-storey house?
Yes. Our water-fed poles reach the top floor of most Hampton houses from the ground.
